Who are the
Media Developers Group?
The Media Developers Group is a community of practice focussed on the creation and pedagogically sound integration of media into teaching programs.
The group is open to the entire UNSW community and aims to offer networking opportunities, development pathways and showcase sessions for completed works or works in progress.
Rich media - a combination of video, audio, animation, text and interactivity - is a proven winner in engaging students. It can aid the learning process by presenting complex concepts in an accessible manner or it can be utilized to present conflicting points of view, varied contexts and authentic experience not possible within the confines of the classroom. Rich media provides reusable learning resources and increasingly, students are presenting media as assessable work.
