2014 Learning and Teaching Innovation Grants Outcome

Presented by Dr Arvin Damodaran, POWCS, Faculty of Medicine; Ian Zucker, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Dr Luke Hunter, School of Chemistry

UNSW Learning and Teaching Innovation Grants are awarded to Faculties, schools or individuals to implement:
 
• small scale learning and teaching development initiatives, or
• pilots/trials of planned, large scale educational changes
 
that align with 2014 – 2016 UNSW priority areas particularly those aimed at educational innovations to personalise students’ learning including the novel use of technology. In this seminar, three 2014 Learning and Teaching Innovation Grant recipients will present on the outcomes of their project, and the lessons learned.
 
Discipline Maps: ‘at a glance’ visualisation of the curriculum to enhance learning on clinical placements. Presented by Dr Arvin Damodaran, POWCS, Faculty of Medicine
 
Pilot of Electronic Assessment Management in the School of Arts and Media. Presented by Ian Zucker, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
 
A “Flipped Classroom” for First-Year Chemistry. Presented by Dr Luke Hunter, School of Chemistry
