This Connections Seminar discusses the impact that Technology Enabled Learning and Teaching (TELT), and specifically the threaded discussion forum, has in promoting greater student participation and student-to-student dialogue in lecture classes.
I argue that TELT is most effective when it is integrated into lecture discussion and tutorial meetings. It is in the creation of careful linkages across spaces of learning that the usefulness of TELT becomes evident.
This seminar draws on student feedback and peer review analysis to explore the various impacts that discussions forums have in enriching the student learning experience.
