Presented by Dr Jennifer Rowley, School of Music, University of Sydney and Associate Professor Patsie Polly, School of Medical Sciences, UNSW
Strengthening IT assisted teaching and learning for staff using ePortfolio with Australian tertiary students.
Following the success of the first webinar, ePortfolio practice and enhanced learning for Australian Tertiary Students, this next in the series will look at the technology behind ePortfolio process and practice in higher education.
This second webinar (in a series of professional development for Australian tertiary staff) focuses on the IT utilised in L&T and use of ePortfolios across disciplines in Australian universities. It explores various software that assists with developing a Portfolio (electronically) for higher education students and discusses a range of examples of student designed ePortfolio products.
This FREE Webinar is a great way to learn more about ePortfolios and what IT assistance other Australian tertiary institutions are incorporating into their teaching practice with ePortfolio process and products. It is designed to support the on-going professional learning of Australian tertiary teachers who are using the ePortfolio in their teaching practice and for those starting to think about using ePortfolios. Experienced educators will share their knowledge of the IT successes and challenges in implementing ePortfolio into degree programs and individual units of study.
This is followed by a community discussion for local participants, which will focus on lessons learned from the UNSW pilot of the Mahara ePortfolio system, as a launch pad for student self-directed use of online portfolio spaces.
