Presented by: Dr Jennifer Rowley, School of Music, University of Sydney and Associate Professor Patsie Polly, School of Medical Sciences, UNSW
You are invited to join this Free Webinar which will look at approaches to embedding ePortfolio across a course of study.
Following the success of the first three webinars,
1. ePortfolio practice and enhanced learning for Australian tertiary students
2. Strengthening IT assisted teaching and learning for staff using ePortfolio with Australian tertiary students
3. Planning for using ePortfolio in a discrete unit of study: exploring assessment and evidence.
The fourth in the series will look at the 'Approaches to embedding ePortfolio across a course of study in Australian higher education'. This webinar focuses on the planning and designing ePortfolio tasks or purposes across a course or a degree program. It explores various issues such as how to accumulate evidence for employment or accreditation and will discuss some effective models. The webinar will explore already used formats and give examples that will assist in describing what you require staff and student to manage in their ePortfolio process and product.
The purpose of the ePortfolio process and product is often lost as students spend time learning the technology not the discipline so the question may be about how we reverse that? The webinar will explore some digital stories that aim to prompt robust discussion in your own institution about this topic.
This free webinar is a great way to learn more about approaches to embedding ePortfolio across a course of study in higher education and to open the discussion about planning for ePortfolio evidence and mutual implementation issues. It is designed to support the on-going professional learning of Australian tertiary teachers who are using the ePortfolio in their teaching practice and for those starting to think about using ePortfolios. Experienced educators will share their knowledge of successes and challenges of embedding ePortfolio into degree programs and individual units of study.
You can attend virtually by clicking here at the time of the webinar and logging in as GUEST. No registration required.
