  • Evaluating your teaching: Interactive evaluation on the fly across devices and platforms

Presented by Dr. Jens J.Hansen and Peter Nangle, the Learning and Teaching Unit

Evaluating your teaching: Interactive evaluation on the fly across devices and platforms
Educational evaluations typically centre on problems and their resolution. Such problem-based reviews commonly absorb substantial time and often fail to deliver effective educational solutions.  They could however, be made to focus on strengths and the celebration of good practice.  Come and see how this can be achieved by using a free interactive platform, Padlet.  This easy to use application has been used by the American Evaluation Association and can be set up in a few seconds.  It can be easily accessed by phone, tablet or via the Internet.  We’ll show you how that happens so you can use this simple technique in an ongoing way with your students.  To make this session really interactive, please bring a tablet, phone or laptop with you.

Dr Jens Hansen is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer in the School of Education and Academic Developer in the Learning and Teaching Unit. He has an interest in supporting postgraduate research and writing  and is the director of Woodhill Park Research Retreat.

Peter Nangle is an Educational Developer in the Learning and Teaching Unit, who has a background in training and TELT.
