Presented by Danny Carroll, UNSW Business School
There is great interest in meaningful, user centric implementations of learning analytics in Higher Education. Understanding, assuring the quality and leveraging the best return on investment is a desirable future progress outcome for both students and universities. One particular sub-focus area in this landscape is how students learning progress can be mapped, tracked and visualised, evidencing their progress in assessment against the formation of competencies, Program Goals and / or Graduate Attributes.
To achieve this, UNSW Business uses Review, a system originally developed by academics at UTS. Review systemically describes assessment and marks data against Degree Goals. The affordances of this approach will be briefly described before demonstrations of the visual reporting capabilities for students, staff and School / Program Managers is demonstrated.
