- Benefits and affordances for delivering pre-recorded asynchronous online lectures (Dr. May Lim)
Each item will be followed by a short Q&A with a more open and general discussion at the end.
Speakers:
Mr. John Paul Posada
John Paul has been with the Faculty of Engineering since 2008 as an Educational Technologist. During this time he’s introduced numerous technologies to facilitate the faculty's need to manage larger class sizes and enhance the student and staff experience.
Dr Garth Pearce
Garth is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of School (Education) for UNSW Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW. Garth's education interests encompass: learning analytics and credentialing, technologies for maintaining student engagement at scale, and authentic assessment.
Dr May Lim
May is a Senior Lecturer at UNSW Chemical Engineering and a fellow of the Scientia Education Academy. She is also the Faculty of Engineering Education Innovation Fellow. May's learning and teaching interests encompass Work Integrated Learning, teaching at scale, reflective practice and student experience/wellbeing in engineering.
