Dr. Inmaculada (Inma) Tomeo-Reyes began her academic career at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2012. She first worked at QUT as a sessional academic, and then as an associate lecturer.
Since 2018, she is an education focussed lecturer in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy since 2016 and completed the Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice at QUT in 2017. Inma is very enthusiastic about teaching and supporting students. She consistently implements strategies to improve student engagement, collaboration and active learning, especially in large (500+) first-year classes. Inma is interested in engineering education research and is especially interested in applying the findings of the educational research literature to the courses she designs and runs.
Inma won the UNSW Student's Choice Teaching Award in 2019 and the QUT Vice Chancellor's Performance Award (Best learning Experiences) in 2017.
