Associate Professor Jae Yup Jung, Academic Mentor, Arts, Design & Architecture

Associate Professor Jae Yup Jung, Academic Mentor, Arts, Design & Architecture

Associate Professor Jae Yup Jung has had extensive leadership experience in learning and teaching, as Deputy Head of School (Learning and Teaching), director of a key education centre (GERRIC), developer of the first ever microcredentialing unit at UNSW, developer of the Faculty Formative Peer Observation of Teaching process, member of the University Summative Peer Review of Teaching Reference Group, and member of the Faculty Education Committee.

He has also made keynote presentations at learning and teaching conferences, and secured grant funding in learning and teaching from the Australian federal government.

He is currently the editor of a key peer reviewed international journal in education, which publishes research in learning and teaching.

His approach to learning and teaching promotes the opening of multiple channels of communication with students and among students, the effective use of educational technologies, and the modelling of research-based teaching practices (e.g., the offering of choice, flexibility in pacing, and the use of authentic learning activities/assessments).

Email jae.jung@unsw.edu.au to enquire if Jae is available to mentor you.
