The Moodle Scheduler can be used to create appointment slots which students can sign up for. Teaching staff can add slots individually or in a block of slots for a specified period. More than one slot for a single period can be created, as well as slots can be set up for group appointments, or set up appointments to repeat at regular intervals.
Multiple Scheduler activities can be created within a single course. For example, one Scheduler activity can be set up for regular office hours appointments, and another for consultations on research projects, or for group projects.
Scheduler activities can be graded if necessary.
Create a Scheduler and add timeslots
Once a Scheduler has been created, timeslots can be added which students will be able to reserve from the Scheduler page. Teaching staff can add a single slot, or multiple sets of slots for a single activity - for example, you can add slots for both the Instructor and the Teaching Assistants or Grading Tutors. When booking appointments, students will be able to see which teacher or tutor is assigned to the slot they are signing up to. You can also create repeating blocks of time slots.

Send invitation and reminders
Invitations and reminders can be sent to students as a way to either remind them to book an appointment or to remind them that they have an upcoming appointment. The notifications and reminders have to be sent out manually.

Can I schedule more than 1 student per slot?
You can control the amount of students that can select a time slot in the 'Maximum number of students per slot' setting for a slot. If you select 1 for that setting, students will not be able to double book the slot, but if you select more than you can have group bookings of two or more students per slot.
