The Moodle Book allows academics to organise text and media content across multiple pages. It resembles an e-book with chapters, subchapters, and a table of contents.
Moodle Books are a great way to keep the course home page less cluttered, while also making it easier for students to access content in one location. It is best used to show several pages of related content.
Create a Moodle Book
Academics can create a book by selecting the "Book" option from the activity chooser. Content is added into the book after creation of chapters and subchapters.

Adding/Editing Chapters
After creating a book resource, academics can add pages to the book, known as chapters. Chapters are important for dividing content into easily readable, digestible sections for students.
Additionally, subchapters can be created to split content within a chapter across multiple pages.
Related files and pages can be linked within pages by adding hyperlinks.

Import/Export Microsoft Word Files
Microsoft Word files can be imported into a Moodle Book. Moodle can detect text styles (e.g. Heading 1, Heading 2) within the doc, and categorise the book in chapters and subchapters accordingly.
The Book can also be exported back into a Microsoft Word file format.
