Moodle Folders are used as containers into which files (and other folders) are organised, so that information can be grouped and displayed on the course main page.
Unlike the file resource, folders can store multiple files but will require students to download most files to view them. It is commonly used to store related files such as pdfs or PowerPoint slides for students to download.
Creating a Moodle Folder
The Moodle Folder can be created by clicking the "Add an activity/resource" button and selecting "Folder".
Files are uploaded into the folder when it is created or by editing later.
