This page is an introduction to international and institutional approaches to whole-of-university and faculty/ school curricular approaches to supporting student success and wellbeing.

The following video from the April 2021 Scientia Education Academy lecture on 'The Care Factor: Foundations and practice of supporting student success and wellbeing' demonstrates how this could work.

UNSW Whole of university approaches to wellbeing

In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, the HUI co-leaders collaborated with the Scientia Education Academy, students, student support services, educators and Faculty representatives to draft the following. Currently, early adopters are testing the procedures in their Faculties/Schools.

  • Draft Policy and Procedure on Curricular Approaches to Student Wellbeing, Academic and Career Success
  • The Guidelines for Curricular Approaches to Student Wellbeing, Academic and Career Success are to accompany the draft UNSW Academic Board Policy and Procedure

How can a Faculty or School go about creating a systematic curricular approach to embedding student success and wellbeing strategies in the curriculum?
