Modify the default view of Moodle’s Participants page for All Users to display only users with the Student role. Most users (e.g. convenors, teachers, support staff) primarily need quick access to the student enrolment list and total student count.​ Currently, a user must make five clicks to filter and view only Students. By applying the Student role filter by default, users can see the enrolment numbers at a glance, significantly improving efficiency. If a user wants to view all other roles (such as Instructors, Teaching Assistants, and Tutors), they can simply remove the Student filter in one click, creating a better and more intuitive user experience.

Faculty of Science recently caused a site-wide Moodle degradation due to large student volumes running a quiz with a large number of STACK questions. As a countermeasure, Science would like to implement a plugin, https://moodle.org/plugins/quizaccess_delayed, that could help with load for running a quiz with large student volumes.​

How this plugin works:​
- When starting a quiz, the plugin makes the "Attempt quiz now" button auto-enable when the quiz opens without requiring a page refresh (page refreshes increase server load)​ 
- Students are allowed into the quiz in a staggered fashion with a randomised delay​ The combination of these changes should help with large student cohorts running a quiz.​
